Something drools beneath my bed

What a scare
Under there
Frightening things do roam
Along this house I thought my home
From under beds
There are heads
With glowing eyes
And in disguise
Come groping hands
From fearsome lands
To clutch little girl toes
And cause childhood woes
Waiting to strike and pounce
For it’s fear they eat by the ounce
Not to worry
For in a hurry
To your bed you can leap
And with switfness keep
Ankles, feet, and legs so bare
From dangling around in the air
If you taunt
Your feet do flaunt
Or if you tease
With uncovered knees
A monster surely you will please!
